Unusual chair created by Ukrainian designers, inspired by way of an architectural object. At the heart of its design – a spherical retina used for the construction of geodesic domes.
The basis of this project made the development architect and engineer Richard Buckminster Fuller. Much of his invention relates to tackle the housing crisis of modern man. Inventing the geodesic dome, the architect made a real revolution in engineering.
This design is collected from the rods had good quality bearing and can withstand heavy loads – and that with increasing height of the dome these features only improved. Dome can easily raise without a construction crane and had a relatively low weight.
Armchair Q1 from studio ODESD2 like geodesic dome. It also withstands high loads, while still visually easy. To retain heat, its interior trimmed with felt, soft seat made of chenille with the substrate of the flock.
Role plays hollofayber filler – an environmentally friendly material that can hold their shape well. Due to the spherical shape, comfortable seat for a person with any size and allows you to rest comfortably.
